The Five Solae


Ferdinand Pauwels, Martin Luther Posting His 95 Theses (1872).

Martin Luther posted his famous 95 theses in 1517. 500 years later, the journal Dominicana proposes five knowledgeable commentaries on the five solae, with an introduction and a conclusion:

Introduction: “A New Series: The Five Solae”
On Sola Gratia (Grace Alone): “The Fullness of Grace”
On Solus Christus (Christ Alone): “Solus Christus, and the Mediation Established by God”
On Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone): “Sola Scriptura’s Disunity”
On Sola Fide (Faith Alone): “Little Abraham Goes to Work”
On Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone): “The Sun and the Moon”
Conclusion: “5 Solae, 500 Years Later”
